Terms of Service & Fair Use

Last updated: June 2026. Plain-English version — please read before subscribing.

1. What the service is

Ironclad Reception ("we," "us") provides an AI-powered phone answering and appointment-booking service for home-services businesses ("you," "the client"). We configure an AI receptionist to answer calls on your behalf, gather caller details, and book appointments into a connected calendar.

2. Billing & renewal

Plans are billed in advance — monthly ($497/mo) or annually ($4,970/yr, equivalent to two months free) — via Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Founding-client pricing ($397/mo), where offered, remains locked for as long as the subscription stays continuously active. Prices may change for new sign-ups; active subscribers are notified before any change affecting them.

3. Cancellation

There is no long-term contract. You may cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate partial months unless required by law.

4. 7-day money-back guarantee

New clients may request a full refund within 7 days of their first payment if the service isn't right for them. The guarantee is offered in good faith for genuine evaluation. To keep it fair to everyone, we reserve the right to decline a refund in cases of excessive usage, abuse, or activity inconsistent with normal evaluation (for example, usage materially above typical levels during the guarantee period). The guarantee applies to a client's first subscription only.

5. Fair use

Plans are intended for normal small-business call volume and include up to 500 answered calls per month. This is well above what a typical small operator receives, and the vast majority of clients never approach it. If your account consistently exceeds this, we'll reach out in good faith to discuss a plan that fits your volume — we won't cut off your line without notice.

6. Your responsibilities

7. Service availability & disclaimers

We work hard to keep the service running 24/7, but it depends on third-party providers (telephony, AI, and calendar platforms) and we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The AI may occasionally mishandle a call; for anything it can't complete, it is designed to take a message so a lead is captured. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business or revenue.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
